I just watched Albert Fish last night and I'm friggin' floored man. Your work is getting more refined, and certainly more disturbing (not a bad thing in my book).
The production value is top shelf, and I thought your narrative was well paced. Some of the imagery even bordered on an art film, and I really dig that.
The use of the religious iconography was surreal, and conveyed madness mixed with fervor in a very convincing way. Mars - California

Just a quick note to say how much my wife and I enjoyed your film. It was easily one of the greatest documentaries ever made. We sincerely appreicate all your hard work and effort, and your gift for storytelling. Again, thank-you so much for such a fantastic film. Mike - British Columbia

Finally saw your Albert Fish film: quite well-made, very powerful and dramatic. Glad you included Joe Coleman. I've been an admirer of his work for years. Rick Geary - U.S.

Recently I convinced my boyfriend to find a copy of your movie Through Sin He found Salvation...Albert Fish. I must seriously congratulate you on this project! I was so very pleased with the artful way you were able to show the actual facts; marrying them with very pleasing 'dramatization' and 'interpretation.' as well as most captivating interviews. The result, in my humble opinion, was fabulous! You managed to make it so very clear that for all this man's horrific, and heinous deeds...he was in fact 'a man'. Although one could hardly sympathize with such an individual; there is much to be learned by him. I have held what has been referred to as a 'life time morbid curiosity' concerning men like Albert Fish. I know it's not because I am enamoured by the preversity and wish to start a Fan Club, or a Rock band. I explained it once to my sister: "If you were cooking and suddenly the curtains caught fire, would you simply turn your back and ignore it because you didn't want to believe in the possibility?" With the obvious exception of pestilance...human beings are their own natural predator. To ignore that possibility or to avoid it is nearly irresponsible. They aren't 'new'. I have read about H.H. Holmes (Herman Mudgett) but I have not yet seen your work here. I look forward to finding it.

Also, in your interview you mentioned that you will not be spreading the word about your new project until it's completion and I see the wisdom in that. I myself have been fumbling away at a fiction that is a compilation of some of 'our' gruesome 'ancestors' and I am loathe to explain too much about it for fear that I'll walk into a book store and see someones elses 'version' of my 'vision'. Finally, once again I congratulate you and you're devoted efforts! Best wishes and much success to you. Tracey - Canada

Congratulation on your Albert Fish movie. I first saw it at the Portage theatre last week. I have to say that I was suprised at how much information you put in. You even cleared up that one legend about Fish in the electric chair. Jay - Elmwood Park, IL

I requested Casa Video in Tucson order "Albert Fish." The good news is that they did. The better news is that I had to wait to rent it. It was checked out as soon as it hit the shelf! I was reluctant to see this film, given the gruesome subject matter. But I agree with you that we need to know about these people. Most Americans live such comfortable lives, sheltered and protected, that they never encounter evil. Some cannot even acknowledge that evil people exist. Your film is necessary to show us thatevil does exist, even in grandfatherly looking figures. You really know how to tell a story that puts you in the time and place of the killer. Again, as in Holmes and Chicago, the images of 1930's New York were fascinating and instructive in showing us Fish's environment. I also like the way you show the truth of the killers' deeds without seeking to shock. It is what it is.

I was so sad to learn of the passing of Tony Jay. His voice was so perfect for your films.

You are the best at what you do. I wish you every success with this film and look forward to your next. Regards, Marilyn

I really appreciated this film for not being loaded with the usual hypocritical hyper-moralism surrounding this subject, but inspired by a genuine attempt to glean a higher understanding of extreme, destructive states of mind, from a psychological as well as spiritual perspective. I'm sure it will be flogged mercilessly for this 'sin' of attempting to understand, even though it is clearly, in my opinion, a far more helpful approach in the long run, toward preventing this kind of aberrant behavior. And how aberrant is it actually, for those who undestand what is really going on in Iraq (hint - the Iraqis are not blowing themselves up - see Vietnam, bodycount) and has been throughout human history. A good case could be made that the most blood-drenched book of homicidal/genocidal mania in existence is the Bible, and I found the observations of Joe Coleman (proprietor of the 'Odditorium') to be highly relevant and provocative. - IMDB user: roell29

I seriously hate documentaries..always have.they're boring and never touch enough on the subject at hand but when I saw the HH Holmes film you did, I was skeptical that maybe there were decent docus. Now this...man! Fish was one hell of a cool ass documentary. My wife and I sat there with our mouths open as we watched. People are scared to push the envelope. Hell most people won't push the envelope in a normal horror flick much less a docu...hence why they suck. But yours always honestly get pretty graphic. I love that. If every docu was made like yours then maybe they'd be more accepted. Tracy, U.S.

Just got finished with your film. Amazing, absolutely amazing. You rock dude!! Ever since I was a kid I can remember always being creeped out by the story of Albert Fish.

I received the DVD a few weeks ago and watched it. Outstanding - fantastic job! I've seen a LOT of stuff over the years, but your new doc made me totally cringe, and I was left feeling "dirty", having been brought so close to the inner working of his psyche; completely repulsed! You pulled no punches and this is honorable and a recipe for success. Glen, U.S.

I am a student of Waseda University, Tokyo Japan. Lately I was reading lots of books of crimes and criminals from all over the world, and Albert Fish has been one of most shocking subject I've ever run into.

Here I am, found your web site and saw little bit of preview of your film, and I am very very excited to see this. Is there any deal going on at now to distribute in Japan? Because I can hardly wait to see, really. If there is the schedule set, please give me some information.

There was one Japanese man from very very very wealthy family who was getting doctor degree in Paris back in 1981 or 82, and he killed a Dutch girl and ate. That really shook whole nation here in Japan. Therefore Japanese has some trauma-type curiosity about cannibalism. You must show your film in Japan! If there are not any deal, I will just wait for DVD or Video to be released.

Anyway, I want you and your staff to understand the subject you picked to make this film, Albert Fish, is shocking yet there are things great number of people all over the world wants to figure out what really happened.

I am not the only one in Japan who really love to see this film. -

I have a student doing a project on Albert Fish and I was on your website where it talks about the movie Albert Fish In Sin he Found Salvation. I was wondering when the Albert Fish film was going to be released. I live in Virginia, and I saw that it premiered in Cali. I am doing a paper on Albert Fish for my Criminal Psychology class that's due Nov. 1. So I was wondering if it would be released in time, or if it is already? Shannon., U.S.

I want to congratulate you on your new film about the life of Albert Fish, it sounds fantastic! I've been wanting to see it for quite a while now, and now that it is finished, I'm wondering how I could purchase it...I'm also really interested in your film on H.H. Holmes. John

Hi, I just happened to stumble onto the new movie web site. I just wanted to tell you that I am so happy that you made a movie about Mr. Fish. I don't live in California, so I won't be able to see the movie out there. :( But, make sure you keep the web site posted, because when the DVD comes out I'll buy it in a heartbeat. Thanks so much! Staci, U.S.

I first read of Albert Fish in the set of Serial Killer trading cards that was released in the early 90's. That must have amounted to less than 200 words, but it is classifiably one of the most chilling and disturbing things I have ever read. For someone with my reading habits (Stephen King and Clive Barker, on down the line to Dennis Cooper and JT LeRoy) that is certainly saying something. I was discussing this with a friend of mine the other day and was saying what a great movie the life of Albert Fish would make. Imagine my surprise when, the next day, she sent me a link to your site. Corby, U.S.

Are you filming the movie based on Albert Fish right now? Is it truely based on Fish or only loosed based? I can't wait to see the movie about H.H Holmes either. I've checked the Interview on your page and I saw that you want to create a movie based on Ed Gein. Do you have any plans to go through with this?

Keep up the good work. I hope I will see more horror movies from you. - Johan, SWEDEN

When will this be released? Available in Sweden? We are just so tired of all this mainstream-hollywood-crap, and more interested in real movies. - Martin, SWEDEN

I am truly looking forward to this film. - Michele, U.S.
